Multiple choice options are available to Quizlet Plus and Quizlet Plus for teacher subscribers.
Multiple choice options allow teachers to make questions a bit more challenging. These questions will be shown in Learn and Test mode and answer options will be randomly ordered.
To create a multiple choice set
- Log in to your account.
- Select Create.
- Enter a title for your set.
- Enter a term in the first column.
- Select Add multiple choice options.
- Enter multiple choice definitions in the second column.
- Select Choose language under the term and definition, if needed.
Chemistry and Math / Symbols are available in addition to many other languages. - Select Create to save and publish your set.
Your work is automatically saved while you're creating and editing sets. If you don't publish your set, you can edit an autosaved draft to keep working on it.
Settings and options
- Published sets are public by default, and you can change a set's visibility any time.
- Select Choose Language to type with special characters and accents, including Chemistry and Math / Symbols.
- Quizlet Plus and Quizlet Plus for teachers subscribers can highlight, bold, italicize, or underline text in sets.
Tips
- Take a shortcut to create sets by going to https://quizlet.new.
- As you type, you'll see suggested terms that match what you've typed. Turn off suggestions by selecting the Suggestions icon.
- You can add images to your definitions by uploading your own images or by adding images from our free gallery.

Currently, you can only create multiple choice sets on the website. To create multiple choice sets on a mobile device, you'll need to log in to your account on your device's mobile browser. Then, click the Web icon above and follow the instructions for creating a multiple choice set.
