Playing a game of Blast

In a game of Blast, players work individually to match the terms and definitions from flashcard sets. Terms or definitions are displayed on moving asteroids, and players need to be the first to blast the right rock. When time is up, whoever has the most points wins!

Students and Teachers can start a game of Multiplayer Blast with any English set that has at least 6 terms and definitions only on the web. Players can join Multiplayer Blast using the app. 

To start a game of Multiplayer Blast

1. Log in to your account.
2. Go to the set.
3. Select Blast under the Multiplayer Games/Play Live Games section
4. Select Get Started.
5. Choose which combination of prompts and answers you'd like players to see.
6. Project your screen for your class to view.
7. Share the join code, link, or QR code with the people you want to invite.
8. Select Create game.
9. Select Start game.

Players may be assigned to groups in Blast. For classroom games, teachers can ask players to sit with their group if needed.

To start a game of single-player Blast

1. Log in to your account.
2. Go to the set.
3. Select Blast under the Play your way to mastery with fun games section
4. Select Play

*Blast is currently unavailable in Canada and the United Kingdom. Blast is also unavailable for diagram sets.

Settings and options

Hosts can adjust the speed of the asteroid, the number of choices, and the game duration in the Options menu.
