In a game of Blast, players work individually to match the terms and definitions from flashcard sets. Terms or definitions are displayed on moving asteroids, and players need to be the first to blast the right rock. When time is up, whoever has the most points wins!
Teachers can start a game of Blast with any English set that has at least 6 terms and definitions. *Students may also be able to start a multiplayer game of Blast from a set and invite others to join.
To start a game of Blast
- Log in to your account.
- Go to the set.
- Select Blast or the option to study live with friends.
- Select Get Started.
- Choose which combination of prompts and answers you'd like players to see.
- Project your screen for your class to view.
- Share the join code, link, or QR code with the people you want to invite.
- Select Create game.
- Select Start game.
Players may be assigned to groups in Blast. For classroom games, teachers can ask players to sit with their group if needed.
*Blast is currently unavailable in Canada and the United Kingdom. Blast is also unavailable for diagram sets.
Settings and options
Hosts can adjust the speed of the asteroid, the number of choices, and the game duration in the Options menu.
You can only start a game of Blast from the Quizlet website—not within the app. Players can join and play from mobile devices.
